Production Facility Pipe Color Coding Overview
Auto parts manufacturer Flex-N-Gate located in Arlington Texas hired Advanced Painting Service to color code their cold and hot water piping in their new facility and paint the lower portions of the building support columns Safety Yellow and the plant walkway Safety railings. The water lines were painted in RAL colors that are ISO-compliant with an acrylic paint system from Sherwin Williams, the Safety railings and support columns received Pro Industrial DTM alkyd enamel in Safety Yellow from Sherwin Williams.

As always the first thing we do is access the safety precautions and equipment that will be required on the project, then we conduct an on site safety meeting to address and cover any requires safety information.
- Initial layout, colors, and label information are collected.
- Coatings are selected and confirmed to be compatible with the substrates.
- Perform any required surface preparation.
- Apply Coatings as required, typically two coats.
- Install any informational and directional graphics.
